In Kindergarten we have been busy "learning how-to-draw" a pumpkin and using curved LINES to create the bumps on our pumpkins. Bleeding tissue paper was used to add paint to the design that was enhanced with raffia for a textural look of "on the farm."
First grade completed spooky silhouette houses on a warm/cool watercolor wash background. How can we create a spooky "mood?"
Second and Third Grade National Jr. Gardener's Poster Contest featuring "Smokey Bear" and "Woodsy Owl."
Students in 2nd and 3rd grades have been working hard to learn about drawing characters from basic shapes, designing a poster, transferring their practice artwork to good copy, adding a horizon line and creating distance with proportion as well as learning to add color and mix their media with marker, colored pencil, texture plates, stencils and crayon.
