1st Place - Baleigh Mooney, 2nd grade Woodsy Owl
4th Place, Honorable Mention - Parker Fox, 3rd grade Smokey Bear
Students examined layout design, font, transfer by copy paper, textural design and depth. They practiced drawing both Woodsy Owl and Smokey Bear. Chose their best design, transferred it to good copy, added a horizon line. Emphasis was placed on font and placement. Students used their imagination to add details to support the message that conservation and preservation of our natural resources is important.
